Abstract
Risen akrilik heat-cured merupakan bahan yang paling sering digunakan sebagai basis gigi tiruan. Gigi tiruan dapat dibersihkan dengan cara direndam dalam larutan disinfektan. Salah satu disinfektan yang sering digunakan adalah glutaraldehyde. Tujuan dilakukannya penelitian ini adalah untuk melihat pengaruh peredaman resin akrilik heat-cured dalam larutan glutaraldehyde terhadap kekuatan impaknya. Penelitian ini menggunakan sampel sebanyak 48 lempeng akrilik heat-cured (65mm x 10mm x 2.5mm). Sampel dibagi menjadi 4 kelompok, setiap kelompok terdiri dari 12 lempeng akrilik. Sampel kemudian direndam dalam larutan glutaraldehyde 2% dan air selama 8 jam dan 24 jam setiap hari selama 7 hari. Kekuatan impak diuji menggunakan resil impactor CHARPY. Data yang didapat kemudian dilakukan analisis statistik dengan ANOVA. Hasil yang didapat terdapat perubahan yang signifikan pada kekuatan impak lempeng akrilik. Disimpulkan bahwa larutan glutaraldehyde memberikan perubahan kekuatan impak pada resin akrilik heat-cured.
