Abstract
File Transfer Protocol atau FTP merupakan salah satu protokol internet yang paling awal dikembangkan, dan masih digunakan sampai saat ini dalam pengunduhan (download) dan pengunggahan (upload) berkas-berkas komputer antara client dengan server. File Transfer Protocol digunakan di antaranya oleh perusahaan, intitusi, dan universitas untuk keperluan distribusi file-file penting mereka. Dalam skripsi ini digunakan protokol FileZilla yang merupakan aplikasi jaringan untuk transfer file via protokol FTP di jaringan komputer atau Internet. Parameter FTP yang diperiksa dalam skripsi ini adalah troughput dan delay. Software Wireshark digunakan untuk menghitung throughput dan delay. Perbandingan antara penggunaan FileZilla, Windows Explorer dan WinSCP dilakukan sebanyak masing-masing 5 kali percobaan untuk ukuran folder 20MB, 40MB, dan 60MB. Dalam folder tersebut, terdapat file-file dengan ukuran sebesar 16KB, 32KB, 48KB, 64KB, dan 128KB. Hasil eksperimen menunjukkan bahwa WinSCP memberikan kinerja delay dan throughput lebih baik dari FileZilla dan Windows Explorer.
